Snow Days...

In case you didn't know, I live in Northeast Ohio and grew up in Western Pennsylvania (that Pittsburgh Steelers obsession is making a little more sense now) and we have our fair share of crazy weather around these parts.  This winter has been a little odd since the temps have been up and down and we really haven't had too much snow at any given time {YET. - there's always April}.

Last Friday, however, was true snow day - by the time the kids woke up on Saturday morning there was about 5" on the ground.  Alas enough snow to go sled riding!  They were so excited so they, along with my hubby took to the hills.  Noticeably missing from the photos below is me.  I wasn't the one behind the camera either (don't judge).

I don't like the cold.  I do like to watch the snow fall and I like the way it glistens in the night.  I like it even more as long as I don't have to go out in it.  So, despite Bella & Ethan's best efforts and pleas to try and get me to join them on the hills of Rocky Ridge - I opted out for a nap by the fire and a little pinning on Pinterest.  They did come home to piping hot cups of hot chocolate (with built in marshmallows as my son says) and bowls of my mama's homemade chicken noodle soup.

Aren't they cute bundled up in there winter garb?

Stay Warm,
