SO WHAT! Wednesday

Life After I Dew
I'm Back, People and this week I am saying So What if:
  • I have taken a ridiculously long blogging hiatus.  I have my reasons.
  • Despite the long blogging hiatus, I have never missed a Quote of the Day Post on my Instagram or Facebook page (well maybe one, but ONLY one).
  • I always ease back into blogging, after a hiatus, with a SO WHAT! Wednesday post?  It's one of my favorite and it's a great ice breaker {thanks, Shannon!}
  • I have finally embraced the goodness that is Spotify and I have some pretty awesome playlists, if I do say so myself. {My Christmas Collection rocks my socks!}
  • I should be paying bills, but instead I'm getting my blog on.  It's all about priorities, right?
  • I think my dad is pretty cool because he handed over his secret Limoncello recipe - Holla!  His is the absolute best ever and I'm excited to try and replicate it.

  • I have been hatin' on Facebook lately.  I barely make time for it anymore.  Too much drama and way to many groups to keep up with.  I prefer the simplicity of Instagram and Twitter.
  • I am over the moon for our new Chocolate Lab puppy, Willow.  I mean seriously, this little girl has stolen my heart.

  • I post a lot of pictures of Willow on my Instagram.  You can see why, obviously.
  • I already ordered my Christmas cards [say what?].  Yep, I sure did.  I'm trying to get ahead of the holiday this year.
  • I am again obsessing over The Voice.  That show is all sorts of amazing and the talent this year is crazy good.  I do have a hands-down favorite though and it's Matthew Schuler.  Have you heard his rendition of 'Hallelujah' from last week's live show?  OMG People --- check it out!
  • If I listen to Matthew sing that song no less than 10 times everyday.  You understand why now, don't ya?
Well, that's all she wrote.  Stop over and visit my friend, Shannon at Life After I "Dew" and share your SO WHATS!

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

So What! Wednesday

So What Wednesday
Wednesday already?  Yep, sure is.  So this week I am totally saying So What! if:
  • If I still phonetically sound out the word Wed-nes-day, in my head, to make sure I spell it right.  Prrrrrrrrrretty sure I'm not alone on that one ;).
  • I love Pink.  I mean seriously love Pink.  Have an addiction to all things Pink.  Pink is pretty and it makes me happy.  I secretly wish we lived in a world that was totally Pink.

  • Today is my kids' last day of school and I'm sad.  Sad because my baby girl is now officially a Jr. High school student.  I know it's so cliche' and people say it every day, but where has the time gone??
  • I am still beaming with pride over my daughter's debut performance in "Under the Sea" last weekend. She is truly gifted and very blessed.  Such a natural!
  • I can watch this video of Blake Shelton and Usher singing 'Home' 20 times a day.  I have always been an Usher fan and as I mentioned, last week, Blake has won me over.  This video is all sorts of amazing.
  • I have a strict "no talking" policy when "The Voice" is on.  There are commercials for that.  My husband and my son even move their nightly wrestling match upstairs, so as not to disrupt my viewing.  Sorry, but I love the show so much that I don't want to miss a minute of it.
  • I'm still upset that Christina Aguilera is returning to The Voice next season.  I need to learn to 'let it go'.
  • I spilled water on my desk at home twice in one week and I still haven't learned my lesson yet.  I have a bad habit of carrying a bottle of Propel around with me and leaving the lid off (drives my husband nuts).
  • I double tap photos on Facebook to try and "like" them [thanks Instagram].
  • I'm crossing my fingers that Shannon, who hosts So What! Wednesday doesn't cut down her weekly link up to a monthly link up.  {Wednesday comes once a week - not once a month - just my two cents}.
Join in the fun and spew your So Whats! with Shannon at Life After I "Dew".  You'll be glad you did.
Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

So What! Wednesday

So What Wednesday

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.  Here I am kickin' it back into gear with my favorite blogging day of the week.  Today I am saying So What! if:
  • I demanded to my doctor that he surgically remove my ear from my head when he said hello to me yesterday.  My allergies are kicking my @ss and filling up my ears with fluid and I'm sick of it already.
  • I opted for a shot in said @ss instead of taking a 7-day pack of steroids. A quick pinch in the rear for some relief in my ear...sounded like a good trade off.
  • I spent the entire Memorial Day Holiday in my house - cleaning and organizing.  My closet looks amazing though and I got rid of lots of clothes that I am happy to say 'no longer fit' - [too BIG - thank you very much].
  • I'm spending money on iTunes for songs I already have in my library because I'm voting for my favorite artists on The Voice.  They put their own spin on cover songs and actually make them sound different and very cool.  Not only do I add to my music library, but I support my favs.
  • I'm not happy to hear that Christina Aguilera is returning to The Voice next season.  I know she was an "original" but Shakira has been such a breath of fresh air this season.  She's genuine, very sweet, beautiful, and well-liked by everyone.  This picture pretty much sums up my thoughts on that decision {you hear that NBC?}!
  • I am learning to like some country music {let's not get crazy, I said some) and it's all Blake Shelton's fault. Through my obsession with The Voice - I have become a big Blake Shelton fan.  Personality, good looks, talent and a sense of humor are a pretty awesome combination.  He and his team have really opened my eyes (and my aching ears) to some good country music. This is one of my favorites - the song and the contestant - Danielle Bradbery singing "Grandpa".
  • I am going to rant again about my loathing of group text messages.  I'm sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine.  I understand group texts, the need to tell multiple people the same thing at one time.  I get THAT, but what I loathe is the "reply all".  Simple etiquette (at least in my book) - start a new response back to ONLY the person who sent you the message.
  • I am still refusing about 5 requests a day to play Candy Crush.  Quite simply, "ain't nobody got time for that."  I see that it's addicting and I am trying to scale back on my addictions these days. :/
  • My kids only have 4 1/2 days of school left and I haven't finalized their child care plans for the summer.  It will all come together {I hope and pray}.

Have some So Whats! you want to get off your chest?  Head on over to Life After I "Dew" and tell Shannon all about it.

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,
