So What! Wednesday

So What Wednesday
Wednesdays creep up on me so fast and I love it because the work week is half over and I get to share what I'm saying So What! to.  This week I'm saying So What! if:
  • The service tech for our cable company came out last week and we demanded that he give us a new modem.  He did just that.  "You don't ask, you don't get."  So far so good...{fingers crossed}.
  • I bought this adorable Instagram plush off of Etsy last week.  You know I love my Instagram.  It's so cute and I just had to have it.
  • I freaked out and almost tossed my cookies when my husband found a tick on his leg last week.  OH HELL NO!  We have woods in our back yard and I'm sure there are many more where that one came from.  Ewww.  So I immediately stocked up on Avon's SSS Bug Guard Plus {thank you, Shannon Dew}.
  • I think my kids are too cool for school.  Seriously though, they make me smile for days.  They are at the best ages right now ~ little people trying to figure out who they are.  It's awesome to watch.

  • I don't recognize the musical talents of Pitbull, like at all.  I mean seriously, he collaborates with every major artist in the world, and all of his songs sound the same.  His overuse of the words: "Miami, 305, and WorldWide" in every song drive me insane.  [Just puttin' it out there.]
  • I'm soooooooooooooo sad that The Voice is over.  Seriously.  What am I going to do now?  I guess, I can try and catch up on some of the many movies I have on my iPad.
  • I am slowly becoming a little bit of a country music fan {and I stress a little bit}.  I am seriously all over the goodness that is Blake Shelton.  His strategy on The Voice this season was brilliant.  He helped his artists breathe life into some old country songs and they skyrocketed to the top of the charts.
  • I'm going to hold off on talking about The Voice Finals until next week because I don't wanna spoil it for anyone who may have not seen it yet.  Get that DVR playing people, because next week I'm going to share my thoughts on the winner!

That's a wrap for this Wednesday.  Thanks for stopping by.  Head on over to Life After I "Dew" for some more SWW fun.

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

Weekend Blog Hoppin'

Making friends and influencing people this weekend.  Teaming up with Kelly at Our Everyday Harvest and company for a busy little blog hop this weekend.  I'm on a mission to find some new blogs to keep up with.

Happy Friday,

People Pleaser

I'm a people pleaser.  It's what I do.  I'm not sure, where I picked up this sometimes 'detrimental' habit.  Nonetheless, it's a title I've owned for quite sometime.  I can honestly say that my little sister is the same way and at times, it comes back to bite both of us in the @ss.

If you've followed BellaBud on Instagram and/or Facebook for even as little as a week, you already know that I'm a "quote queen".  I am always in search of a good quote.  Well, yesterday, I came across this gem from one of my very favorite people on the planet, Joel Osteen.  The man is AMAZING and so extremely inspirational.
I've read this quote over and over again and it really resonated with me.  I put so much pressure on myself to try and make other people happy that sometimes so many times I end up unhappy myself. :( It really makes no sense when you sit and think about it.  I am coming to realize that "people are only as happy as they make up their minds to be."  That being said, I'd like to say I'm going to stop trying to keep everyone happy and/or fixed and concentrate a little more on making me happy.

Hmmmmm, that's a big change from my norm and it all sounds good in theory, but I know how I am and that is going to be very hard for me to do.  Wish me luck.

Be happy,

Pay it Forward

I just love that phrase..."Pay it Forward".  Today was the second time in a month that someone paid for my order at the drive-through at Dunkin' Donuts.  The first time was by a woman that I didn't even know and today, was by someone who said she knew me, but I didn't see the car to identify who it was.  What I do know is that the kind deed made me so happy that I decided to pay it forward {or backward, in this case} and pay for the coffee of the person behind me.

To pay it forward is to ask the recipient of a good deed to repay it to others instead of to the original benefactor.  It's such an awesome concept, really.  If more people did this, what a wonderful world we could create.

Pay it forward,

So What! Wednesday

So What Wednesday
There's plenty to say So What! to today...so here goes.  So what if:
  • I'm still trying to get used to gmail.  Yikes! I've had the account forever, but never used it and now I'm transitioning my old e-mail accounts to it.  I've found it to be sooooo busy.
  • I am reading The Chrome Book to get the most out of the amazing Google Chrome web browser. I'm a 'Geek Girl' what can I say.

  • I'm starting to get anxiety about The Voice ending... I look forward to my Monday and Tuesday TV nights and watching the amazing talent that has been discovered this season.
  • My soon-to-be 12 year old daughter told me after Usher's performance at the opening of Monday's episode that "Usher was sweating like a sinner in church!"  I couldn't be more proud of that quick wit of hers. {as they say "apple doesn't fall too far from the tree!}
  • I had a mini-meltdown when I walked down the pet aisle at Sam's Club on Sunday.  I HATE not having a my dog anymore.  It's such a sad sad feeling that really doesn't get any easier as the months pass by.  I miss my Remi's face everyday :'(
  • I had another meltdown on Tuesday, when a friend posted this on Facebook.  {What is God trying to tell me?  I'm pretty sure I know.}
  • We hosted a family gathering with 30 people at our house last Sunday and we're about to do it again - only on a smaller scale.  I come from a very large Italian/Irish family and logistics were in our favor last weekend.  Many [not all] of us were able to get together in one place.  This weekend, we will host my hub's family [much smaller] for Father's Day.
  • I'm about to go a little lot crazy on my internet provider!  I've literally had a service call in every week for the past 6 weeks and 2 actual onsite visits and still have issues.  I lose my internet and phone service intermittently for an hour to 2 hours throughout the day and/or night and no one can tell me why it's happening.  A girl without her internet??  Do they even know who they're messing with?  To be continued...
Well enough said.  If you wanna share your So Whats! head on over to Life After I "Dew" and dish it out.

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

Anything, Everything, Nothing...

That was my response to my daughter when she said, "Mom, what do Bloggers blog about."  My fellow bloggers would probably wholeheartedly agree.  We blog about Anything, Everything, Nothing...

Maybe a more pinpointed question would be "why do bloggers blog?"  If I sit and think about that question, like really think about it, I guess I would have to say, "because they have something to say."  Simple? Basic? Yes. Yes, but it's true.  We blog because we have something to say.  At least that's why I blog.

So, what makes a blogger think that someone wants to hear what they have to say?  We don't know for sure. It's our creative release. We just breathe in and blog it out.  I personally, don't blog for anyone's approval, but instead, I blog because it makes me feel better.  It's so much better than keeping things bottled up inside.  It's like a friend once told me "pour it out"...

[sidenote:  I dislike Kanye so very much, but for all intents and purposes, this picture is on the money]
Bloggin' it out,

Saturday Morning Scene

What's up, Saturday?  Let's peak into my morning so far.

It started out with a trip to an amazing little hidden gem in my hometown...Maggies Magic Muffins.  Where the homemade, irresistible muffins are as yummy as they are huge.

We are all enjoying some bonding time with our cousins who live just south of Pittsburgh.  Three boys and one girl make for loads of fun for my kiddos.  The boys have definitely tipped the scale of testosterone in our house for the weekend.  Fun for days!

What can I say about this...hmmmm.  Who'da thought??  Country music blaring in my house all morning.  {No one who truly knows me - that's for sure}.  I am over the moon about my recently acquired Blake Shelton downloads.  I seriously can't get enough of him lately.  What is happening to me? ;)

Shopping and wrapping presents for a special little three-year old rounded out the morning.  Heading to the pool this afternoon to celebrate my Goddaughter, Lilly's Birthday.

What are you peeps doing this lovely Saturday morning?  Whatever it is, make it a great day!

xoxo,

So What! Wednesday

So What Wednesday
Wednesday already?  Yep, sure is.  So this week I am totally saying So What! if:
  • If I still phonetically sound out the word Wed-nes-day, in my head, to make sure I spell it right.  Prrrrrrrrrretty sure I'm not alone on that one ;).
  • I love Pink.  I mean seriously love Pink.  Have an addiction to all things Pink.  Pink is pretty and it makes me happy.  I secretly wish we lived in a world that was totally Pink.

  • Today is my kids' last day of school and I'm sad.  Sad because my baby girl is now officially a Jr. High school student.  I know it's so cliche' and people say it every day, but where has the time gone??
  • I am still beaming with pride over my daughter's debut performance in "Under the Sea" last weekend. She is truly gifted and very blessed.  Such a natural!
  • I can watch this video of Blake Shelton and Usher singing 'Home' 20 times a day.  I have always been an Usher fan and as I mentioned, last week, Blake has won me over.  This video is all sorts of amazing.
  • I have a strict "no talking" policy when "The Voice" is on.  There are commercials for that.  My husband and my son even move their nightly wrestling match upstairs, so as not to disrupt my viewing.  Sorry, but I love the show so much that I don't want to miss a minute of it.
  • I'm still upset that Christina Aguilera is returning to The Voice next season.  I need to learn to 'let it go'.
  • I spilled water on my desk at home twice in one week and I still haven't learned my lesson yet.  I have a bad habit of carrying a bottle of Propel around with me and leaving the lid off (drives my husband nuts).
  • I double tap photos on Facebook to try and "like" them [thanks Instagram].
  • I'm crossing my fingers that Shannon, who hosts So What! Wednesday doesn't cut down her weekly link up to a monthly link up.  {Wednesday comes once a week - not once a month - just my two cents}.
Join in the fun and spew your So Whats! with Shannon at Life After I "Dew".  You'll be glad you did.
Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

I Guess It's the Price You Pay...

...you know for Blogging on the World Wide Web.  People read your shiz and they run with it.

I prefer blogging to the masses of unknown readers and fellow bloggers.  I don't want to feel like everything I say "can and will be used against me" in a dig at a later time.  It happens, but I guess that's the price you pay when you're a blogger.

I'm real.  I say what I need to say.  More people should learn to do that.  Just sayin'...

Say what you need to say,
