So What! Wednesday

So What Wednesday
Already?  Yep!  It's that time again...time for a little So What! Wednesday and this week I am saying So What if:
  • I have zero interest in the Superbowl - like none whatsoever.  I am a Steelers fan through and through and I cannot force myself to cheer on the Ravens {hell.to.the.no} and I'm not a big 49ers fan either.  So I guess I'll do what every other Steelers fan will be doing Sunday and that's watching the commercials and eating way too many appetizers!
  • I have been staying up way too late to get back into my blogging routine, priorities people.
  • Three of my besties and I all had mental breakdowns yesterday for one reason or another.  We got through it together ~ really, it's what we do.
  • I watch movies on my iPad rather than any of the large televisions we have in our house.  I like to sit and watch at my convenience in my own personal space.
  • I agreed to go see the Harlem Globetrotters tonight with the family.  I've seen them many times before, but my son and my daughter (thanks, Bella!) both were excited to go see them.  And, since I wouldn't want Bella to be the only girl there, we're all going.  It should be entertaining.
  • I LOVE Instagram ~ I mean really love it.  It's my favorite app evah!  I have always loved taking pictures and it's a fun way to share quick, fun photos.  Who doesn't love it?
  • My friends and I quote lines from Bridesmaids all day long?  That.movie.seriously. was funny as heck and there were so many good lines that they keep us laughing for days.
  • I have a watch obsession!  I am especially partial to Michael Kors.  The bigger the face, the better, here is my little MK Collection...

SIGNS...they're everywhere

Do you believe in signs?  Well, they're everywhere...What do they mean?  Do you really want to know?
I guess that's the burning question...do you really want to know??  When I find myself tackling a tough problem or situation, I can usually find signs along the way to lead me in the right direction.  After all, isn't that what signs are supposed to do?  Point you in the right direction??  I guess, it depends on whether you choose to listen to them or not.  Personally, I do believe in signs, but I think I have a tendency to alter their meanings to fit my purpose.  What does that mean?  Sometimes I know the right direction that I am supposed to be going, but it's not always the direction I WANT to go.
I guess in those situations, I just follow my heart and not my head...

Say Hello, Will Ya?

Well, better late than never...it's almost NOT Monday anymore..but today is Say Hello Monday around the blog world.  Laura is hosting this really fun link up where you basically share some fun facts and some fun blogs.  Annnnnnddd since I'm trying to ease my way back into the blogosphere, I figured I'd link up.

Here goes...

1. What blogs do you visit daily? Please list 1-3 of your favorites.
- Shannon:  Life After I "Dew" One of my first ever blogs to follow and one of my favorite blogger friends.  We met up in Columbus back in 2011 and she is even more awesome and adorbs in person!

- Anne: WobiSobi OMG, I love Anne!  We are seriously cyber sisters.  We Instagram like it's our job and we have the same taste in music and lots of other "coolness".  Her site is full of awesome DIY Tutorials - she has an amazing eye for fashion and is super cool!

- Kristen:  First Name Smith If you haven't read her blog, you are in for a treat...you think it; she says it!  Kristen is beautiful and tells it just the way it is!

2. Are you on Instagram? If so, what is your user name?
Um Yeah!  Some would say I'm obsessed and well, I am.  Come find and follow me and my randomness at BellaBudBlog

3. Can we find you on Pinterest? What's your Pinterest address, and what can we expect to see you pinning most? (recipes, DIY projects, home decor, etc.)
I am on Pinterest and I'm hit and miss...  You can find me here.  My biggest boards are My Thirty-One and So Random.  I'm not a crafter, a baker, or a cook, but I do love pinning my Thirty-One pics, quotes, random funnies and my dream watches.

4. What are your favorite blog link-ups to participate in? (weekly link-ups other bloggers have...any number will do...please link us to them!)
I really only participate in one link-up when I blog regularly and that's Shannon's SO WHAT! Wednesday over at Life After I "Dew".

5. Why do you blog?
Well, I started blogging two years ago as a release...lots to say about lots of things.  The busier I got in my family, work and daily life the less time I had to say what I wanted to say.  I have even more to say now and I'm carving out time to do just that, so look out...

6. Tell us one random fact about yourself.
Hmmmm...one random fact about me. I have a watch fetish - I'm obsessed with watches, particularly Michael Kors... the more watches the better!  You really can't have too many.

Well, that's all she wrote!  Thanks for stopping by.

Manic Monday

It's here...Monday. Not my friend.  Starting out "just right" with a 2-hour delay for the kids due to ICE.  What?  Ahhhh, winter in Northeast Ohio.  Mondays mornings are my busiest at work and not the day I can afford a 2-hour delay, but such is the life a working mom.

Today's challenges will consist of sitting through an early morning sales meeting with more uh's and um's than you can shake a stick at and a round table discussion of where all the sales are for the month of January [sure wish I knew].  I'll wrap up my work day with a whole lot of preparing for a more profitable February [yes please].

For the most part, I try to keep my blog positive, but when it comes to Mondays...is there anything nice to say?

Make Monday Matter,

So What! Wednesday

Awwww, it's my favorite blogging day of the week!  When I haven't blogged in a while I like to kick it back into gear with a little "So What! Wednesday".  So here we go...

This week I am saying So What! if:

  • I am very mildly irritated at all of the days off my kids have had over the past month.  Since they went back after Christmas break they have at least four days off and it's only three weeks into the month.
  • It seems harsh that I want my kids in school - they go to Catholic School and I want to "get what I pay for".  Plus, as a full time working mom - it's tough to find someone who can stay home with the kids all day long at a moment's notice.
  • If I'm praying that my kids don't have another "cold day" tomorrow.  I promise, I will bundle them up and sit at the end of the driveway with them in a heated car until the bus comes.
  • I am still obsessed with Instagram.  I think it's the single best iPhone app evah!!  I add photos like it's my job {now if only I could think of a way to get paid for doing it}.  Check me out BellaBudBlog on IG!
  • If I wear headphones and listen to music when my son asks me to sit with him and watch TV.  I'm sitting with him, but if he's watching Fairly Odd Parents OR Planet Sheen -- Hell-to-the-No [sorry buddy, mommy don't play that].  I can't stand the sound of their voices.  Oddly enough, Sponge Bob doesn't bother me one single bit!  #truth
  • While writing this post, I received a call that my kids are on a 2-hour delay - I can deal with that more than a day off.
  • I watched Bridesmaids two times this week - I love that movie!  Who doesn't?
  • I am super excited that Justin Timberlake released a new song last week "Suit and Tie".  And he added a little Jay-Z {nuthin wrong with that!}  Welcome back, JT!
  • If I'm counting down the days to "Girls Night Out" on Friday - I'm about to celebrate one of my besties' birthdays!

Link up with Shannon over at Life After "I Dew" and tell us, what you're saying So What! to.

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

Where Have I Been?

Hmmm...great question.  I had a long talk with an old friend yesterday and she helped me understand where I've been.  Funny, I didn't realize it but over the past several months I've been busy discovering "Me".

After years and years of trying to be everything to everybody, I think I've finally allowed myself to be who and what I want to be.  You see, I've defined myself as "a wife, a mom and a career woman" for the past decade + and I think I personally lost sight of who I actually am.  Of course I still am all of those things, but beneath it all I'm "Me" and there's a whole lot to me...I'm friendly, I'm funny, I laugh loud, I'm overly sensitive, I'm extremely caring, I'm very responsible, I've been described as "delicate", and I am always grateful.  These are just a few things that make me who I am.

Lately, I have really been thankful for my amazing group of "besties" who have helped me find the fun girl who lives inside the often "too serious" wife, mom and career woman.  I am blessed to have such amazing group of friends.  They help get me through it all...with laughter and sometimes tears.

Be who you are,
