So What Wednesday...

Or maybe I should say "Say What Wednesday"!  It's been a long time since I participated in my girl, Shannon's weekly So What Wednesday link up.  Life, well has been busy, but this week I'm ready to say "So What" if:

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fall, but strongly dislike Halloween Day.  I'm not a big fan of dressing up in costume for Halloween.  I don't mind other people wearing costumes, it's just not "my thing."
  • Halloween is less than a week away and I still didn't get my kids their costumes yet! (refer to bullet point one).
  • I still didn't get my costume yet for a Disney-Themed Halloween party that we're going to this weekend (like in four days)...
  • I have NO desire to dress up for the Disney-Themed Halloween party that we're going to this weekend.
  • One of the bags of "Halloween Mix" candy used to have a LOT more mini Reese cups in it?!
  • I messaged Gilles Marini on Facebook to tell him how incredibly awesome he is on Dancing with the Stars (what am I 15)?
  • Gilles Marini messaged me back to apologize for taking so long to thank me and I quote "...But I got to You {insert smiley face emoticon here}Ciao and Merci for Your Support"
  • I vote for Gilles Marini on every device in my home every Monday night.  That's like 50+ votes (obsess much?!)

So what are you saying so what to this week?

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

Fun, Family-Filled Weekend

What a great weekend!  I can't believe it's over already and it's back to my usual "Manic Monday."  My family and I had quite a week of birthday celebrations.  It all started with my brother and my little cousin, then my aunt, my Grandmother {celebrating 91 years!} and today is my baby boy's 9th birthday!
As if that isn't enough birthdays {and cake} for one week...let's add my Father-in-Law to the mix as he's about to celebrate his 75th tomorrow!
We celebrated a lot over the weekend and we'll spoil Ethan silly today.  It's hard to believe he's 9 years old.  I know it's so cliche' to say, but where has the time gone?  It's seems like just yesterday I strolled into the hospital for my early morning, scheduled c-section.  I look at his baby pictures and can't believe that he's growing up so fast.

I'm happy that he's a bit of a mama's boy and he's not afraid to give me lots of hugs and kisses.  I'm going to hold on to that (and him) as long as I can!
I said from the minute I laid eyes on Ethan Robert that "I had a crush on him" and I still do.  Happy Birthday to my sweet "baby" boy!

Happy Day,

We Are In Love

I'm so excited to wish my amazing, handsome, and hilarious hubby a very Happy 15th Anniversary today!
I am happy to say that it's been a decade and a half and, STILL ~ We Are In Love!  It's kind of our mantra, really.  It's the title of the Harry Connick, Jr. song that Rob sang to me at our wedding reception.  It remains one of the best and most amazing surprises of my life, to this day.  Keep in mind, this was 15 years ago and before the days of camera phones, YouTube or even digital cameras.  It was uniquely his own idea and I knew right then and there that our life together was going to be fun and a little bit amazing. {score!}
We have been truly blessed throughout our lives together and today we will reflect on that by having a nice romantic dinner - just the two of us.
Feel the love,

It's All About Pink!

It's Monday - Bleh.  It's October - Yay!  I love October, it's my favorite month of the year.  What's not to love?  Fall is in the air, the leaves on the trees are turning vibrant colors, lots of birthdays, football, bonfires and so much more.  I also love October because it's All About Pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it's such a special time for me because I reflect on how grateful I am that all of the special people in my life who have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer are all SURVIVORS! Can I get an Amen? {AMEN!}

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women and is the most common type of cancer among women in the United States. The chance of a woman having breast cancer sometime during her life is 1 in 8. Early detection is key in the treatment of breast cancer. There are steps you can take to detect breast cancer early when it is most treatable.  Click here for more information on early detection.
So, to all of you out there who have been affected by breast cancer or know someone who has, remember a feel a day keeps the doctor away.

THINK PINK!
