Funny Foto Friday

It's Funny Foto Friday at BellaBud and I took to Pinterest to find some funny fotos.  These family photos are more than funny, they're...well...awkward to say the least.

Keep in mind, I don't know any of these families ~ they are for pure entertainment purposes only and I'm pretty sure I can deliver on that.  Take a look.

Really, do you think this picture of beat down, hung over Santa should be part of your childhood Christmas memories?

Who you gonna call??  Certainly not the photographer who let this family dress in Ghostbuster shirts!  No business.

There really are no words for this picture.  I mean other than ridiculous.

I think it's awkward to pose with your four impressionable children in the middle of the highway, but that's just me.
Just to reiterate, these photos are not of my actual family - they are random silliness I found on Pinterest. :)

Laugh out loud,

Guest Blogger, Bella!

So much to do, so little time.  Today's post is actually from Bella!  Well, sort of.  You see, she had the following hanging on the refrigerator yesterday and it made my husband and I laugh because it was like her own little blog post.  So, I'm sharing it...

Happy Fall!

So What! Wednesday

Welcome to another installment of So What! Wednesday, where I share some random things I'm saying So What! to.  This week, So What! if:

- I took three days off from blogging last week and one day off of work.  I was literally exhausted and needed a "mental health" break.

- I just realized that the words of one of my favorite songs, Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People, is actually about a kid that is basically losing his mind and plotting revenge.  I never really paid attention to anything but the chorus “all the other kids in their pumped up kicks better run better run”.  I still love it.
 - I feed my kid’s Guinea Pig more lettuce than he probably needs, because I love the nibbling sound he makes while eating it *too cute*

-I’m about to make myself REAL busy in October.  There is an “Electrifying” sales incentive for Thirty-One Consultants and I’m on a mission to win lots of great prizes.

-I secretly get all excited when my son says when he grows up he wants to “play football for the Pittsburgh Steelers”.  Two reasons – I LOVE the Pittsburgh Steelers!  And it’s better than his original plan of being “one of the guys that hang off of the back of a garbage truck” (as he told us when he was 5 – LOL!).

-I love the smell and squishiness of a new baby but we’re all done having babies.  I get my baby fix through my younger friends.  This precious baby is only 3 days old...

- I get irritated that people I personally know try to dissect my blog posts to see “who I was referring to” or “what I meant by something I said…”   My thoughts are random, but my points are pretty clear.  I generalize to keep some anonymity – so with all do respect – “ please read, comment, and enjoy” but don’t dig too deep.

- Chaz Bono used to be a female and now is a male.  People should stop judging and accept it or don't watch him on Dancing with the Stars.

That's what I'm saying So What! to this week, what about you?

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

Monday Quotivation

After a very productive and restful 3-day weekend, I have a clear head and a sharp focus.  I have big plans for October and here's a great quote I found to help keep me on track.

Saturday Morning Scene

Happy Saturday, Friends!  I took a bit of a blogging break this week.  Who am I kidding...I took a bit of an "everything" break this week.  Keeping this pace up, finally caught up to me and I needed to get some much needed rest.

So here it is, Saturday and I am (somewhat) rested and taking on my day.  Here are a few pictures of my Saturday Morning Scene:

I've made it no secret that I adore Fall and this is one of my favorite Fall activities...watching Football!  It's even better when I get to watch my little guy tear up the gridiron in a little game of Flag Football.

So thanks, to Katie at Loves of Life for giving me a reason to blog today.

Happy Saturday,

So What! Wednesday

Thanks for stopping by!  You know it's my favorite blogging day of the week because I get to say So What! to random things that happened in my week.  This week I'm saying So What! if:

- My next door neighbor gave me grief because I decorated my porch for Fall a month and 1/2 before Halloween.  I love Fall and it goes too fast, I need to get a headstart.

- I am not happy that my daughter is leaving for camp for 2 days and 2 nights with her fifth grade class.  I didn't let her know it, but I'm sad and I'm going to miss her sooooo much.  Why do they have to grow up so fast?
- I am irritated with all the changes that Facebook has been making.  Everyday I log in, it's something new and somewhat annoying.
- My cousin Kylee and I worked a craft show last weekend and spent more money buying items from each other than we probably made, but look how cute this is!

- I should be happy that the new Fall TV Season is upon us, but not so much because it's going to cut into my evening blogging time.
- What Not to Wear is one of my favorite shows and I haven't seen any of the new ones yet this season.  I always forget it's Tuesday and what channel it's on.  I know I can always catch a WNTW marathon on any given Saturday.
- I wish Clinton Kelly from What Not to Wear was my best friend in real life.  He is so funny and sarcastic, plus he would make sure I looked fabulous everyday of my life.

- I have nothing else for you today...It's been a hectic couple of days and I'm beat.

What are you saying So What! to this week?  Link up and dish.

Happy "Over the Hump" Day,

Mental Health Day

Hi Friends,

It's been awhile since I've skipped a daily post.  Sorry, I've been a little busy and a lot overwhelmed.  Too much to do, too little time.  I'm taking a little mental health break today, so I can be "on my game" tomorrow for So What! Wednesday.

I had to convince myself that it's ok to 'go slowly' and take a break when I need to.  Hence my quote for today:

Don't forget to stop back tomorrow and visit - I love visitors.

The Day We Started to LIVESTRONG

Today is a very special day.
Today is my husband's 4-year anniversary.
Today marks the day we started to "LIVESTRONG."
You see, my amazing husband has been cancer-free for four years. {AMEN}  Yes, cancer-free!  At age 37, Rob was diagnosed with testicular cancer.  We were so fortunate, it was detected early and he was operated on quickly.  After one month of radiation, he was back on the road to recovery.  I honestly thank God everyday that the outcome was so good.  We were fortunate and truly blessed.

I don't want to trivialize it because it wasn't easy.  My husband is a healthy, happy, hard working man with a larger than life personality.  The day he uttered the words, "you mean I have cancer?" changed our lives completely.  He was shocked, devastated, and above all scared.  My big strong husband, scared?  It was that day that our wedding vows {in sickness and in health} became more than just the standard part of a wedding ceremony they became our mantra.

We began to change the way we thought about life, work, and things in general.  We decided that we were going to live our lives and enjoy each day as much as we could.  While we are very devoted parents and spend as much time with our kids as we can, we also make time for each other and for ourselves as individuals.  Rob is an avid sportsman who hunts, fishes, golfs and as much as sometimes I wish he didn't have quite so many hobbies, I'm glad he knows how to LIVESTRONG.

We take vacations with our kids, with our friends and with our family.  We have as much fun as possible, whenever we can.  It's not always easy when you get caught up in the day-to-day stress of life and work, but we do what we can when we can.  We're LIVIN' STRONG.
